The goal with this card is to get to its second activated ability, where Realmbreaker sacrifices itself and dumps your library full of Praetors onto the battlefield
Nikya actually makes me consider running Zhur-Taa Ancient, as ramping into Nikya and then Ancient will set you up to make some pretty explosive plays really early in the game
Friends on the Other Side will draw you four cards, Let the Storm Rage On will deal four damage and draw two cards, The Bear Necessities will force your opponent to discard two cards: the possibilities are endless
Free counterspells are always nice enough, and although sacrificing a non-token creature is certainly a cost, its not insurmountable in the right deck

The artwork for this card is incredible, if a bit frightening, but on the table it can be even more so
